Fishing Report

Rockfishing is good one day and spotty the next, the fluctuating water temps are a challenge, but we’ve been bringing in fish every day.  The limits are 5 bottom fish per person, plus 2 ling cod.  We have trips planned for everyday as long as we get enough people, and the ocean cooperates.

Crabbing is good, but shells are soft and about half-full right now.  We can combine crabbing with rock fishing and salmon trips for $25 extra.

Salmon is doing well and we’re seeing lots of action, but the water temps are fluctuating a lot and sometimes that tends to scatter the fish. We’re looking at some southerly wind which typically brings some warmer water and some nice weather this weekend.

Tuna is still out too far for our trips. We need them to be consistently within 50 miles and the current reports have consistent sightings/catching at 100+ miles. We expect to hear more reports over the weekend with the nice ocean weather coming up.

We sell one day fishing licenses, which include crabbing, but we do not sell yearly fishing licenses or combined angling tags. You can call ODFW at 503-947-6000 to find out where to purchase them.
